Where it all started

Handle Hands Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd is a South African company based in our nation’s capital Pretoria, the Jacaranda City. It was in the Spring of 2000 that our founder Annemie Fourie decided to take her idea of a universal clip-on handle further.

“The oven gloves, pot holders and dish cloths just didn’t fit into my picture of the Gourmet Experience. Surely in this new Century we shouldn’t have to be settling with this bearskin which ‘early man’ thought to use? Surely we should be looking at how new modern materials, state of the art technology and brilliant designers of our time can work together to revolutionize this commonly used bearskin? It’s not safe, not good looking, it doesn’t last, it attracts flies, and when you return from the fridge it’s gone, when you need it most it’s wet and even if you are lucky enough to find it in a good condition, it still offers no pace of mind- it’s definitely just not designed to do the job! I was on a mission to find an alternative, the right tool, not just for myself but also for everyone that enjoys good food, good wine and good living!” - A.Fourie

Four years later- mission completed! Handle Hands^® was invented, patented, developed and introduced to Countries around the globe; all over people are enjoying/ can now enjoy this unique alternative to the bearskin!
